Ethan Brown started Beyond Meat 8 years ago. The idea was — and still is — to use non-animal proteins to get something edible that tastes like meat. You know, the biggest problem with vegetarian/vegan food is that it tries to pretend to be like something else: fake hamburgers, fake chicken wings, you know what.

Ethan’s mission was to turn peas and lentils into protein that tastes exactly like beef and chicken, not into an hamburger which looks like but doesn’t taste like.

The pciture of the hamburger sandwich really pleases the eyes but would it really taste like the real one? I don’t know but many that tried it said that it does taste like the beef one.

As of today, Beyond Meat products are sold in 11,000 stores across the USA and I’d really like to have a non-meat meat something, sooner or later.
