A Thought on India’s Surveillance Project

Along with the emerging details of the PRISM project, there are some heated arguments in the newspapers over India’s Central monitoring program(India’s very own surveillance project ).Most of these arguments are based on privacy, Govt. operational transparency etc and mostly against it. But I have some totally opposite views. They are,

First : India is one of the most terror affected countries in the
world. So we need something that can detect terrorist movements.

Second: India’s Surveillance project is more open than NASA’s
Prism.Indian Government has explicitly revealed some details of the
project.

Third:Last but not the least, if America can spy on us(Indians are the fifth most tracked by PRISM spying program) why can’t Indian Govt. ?

Fun part: Until now I believed that Facebook, Google are the largest
data store houses of the web. But now I find I am wrong.It is
NASA.The Super storage of the world.
