KIDS/SAME SEX MARRIAGE/DIVORCE

A response to the U Tube video

I am in no way expressing a personal opinion just some relatively obvious observations.

Kids like to be considered “normal”, whatever that means! In the case of same sex marriage that would imply a level of comfort for the progeny of a gay and lesbian couple if that same couple loved in San Francisco or in Chelsea, NYC…less so in a rural community in the Bible Belt.

Kids like to be loved and tended too. Much like heterogeneous couples there are good and bad gay parents. Even though the kids in the video seemed enthusiastic about the gay marriage, I would assume they wouldn’t be happy with a negligent or abusive gay parent any more than they would like those qualities in a straight couple.

Kids definitely don’t like it when their parents divorce. That is neither “normal” (even though statistically almost half of their schoolmates will come from a divorced family) nor seems to engender love and tenderness the way way children would prefer to have it delivered.
