Pick up the phone and make it happen!
It’s not who you know, it’s not being in the right place at the right time, it’s not hanging out in the right clubs and it’s not the family you come from. Although all those things can at times lead to some good outcomes, the real secret is making A LOT of calls.
In sales, in business and well, even in “getting lucky,” make a lot of calls, start a lot of conversations, meet a lot of new people and you will likely be surprised at just how lucky you get.
Yes I have a lot of experience when it comes to getting lucky. In particular when it comes to selling, making more calls will ultimately lead to more sales. When I used to sell pots and pans I would call approximately 100 people to book 10 dinner shows and out of those 10 dinner shows would sell two sets of cookware. Total profit approximately $5000. Time spent 20 to 30 hours. It was a pretty good return for a full-time university student.
Today with real estate the numbers are a little different. However the reality is the same. If I want more listings, I need to call more people. If we need to find more buyers, then we need to call more people. Same same. Pick up the phone, give it a try and let me know what happen and how lucky you get.
