Now the year has come to an end it is the perfect time to list a few of the highlights of 2019 and thank the core team and community for all their efforts. But first, let’s have a look at the developments in December.

To start off, IOC has been listed with a IOC/BTC pair on the Singapore based cryptocurrency exchange VCC Exchange. Although VCC Exchange is based in Singapore they are mainly operating in Vietnam and the fact that they do not require KYC for depositing and withdrawing funds makes this exchange convenient to use.
There is more exchange related news to share: Bittrex Global launched their mobile app so it is now possible to trade IOC on the go using their new app with the security and flexibility people are used to from their website. The Bittrex Global mobile app is available for both iOS and Android.

The IOC team has also been working on great explanation videos showing how I/O Coin features can be used through the desktop wallet. Go to the IOC YouTube channel to check them out!

2019 Highlights

Time to go over some of the highlights for IOC in 2019! At the beginning of the year the IOC team was present with a booth on the Miami Bitcoin Conference raising awareness for I/O Coin and Chameleon Molecular Ledger. Around the same time the scientific whitepaper for the Chameleon Molecular Ledger was published using the IOC blockchain to showcase I/O Coin capabilities, a pretty big deal!

Also in 2019, the core team started working on the development of the next big upgrade for IOC: Nighthawk Zero-knowledge protocol or often referred to as just Nighthawk. The Nighthawk upgrade will amongst other things bring ring signatures and cold signatures to the I/O Coin blockchain, adding even more privacy on top of the already privacy focussed features.

Furthermore, IOC got an official B rating from TokenInsight (matching the rating for IOTA and STRATIS), the new Telegram and Twitter tipbot ObiWan has been released and last but not least: IOC got added to five (!) new exchanges!

The core team around IOC has put in a tremendous amount of time and effort to make all of this possible and we would like to thank them for their hard work in 2019! We sincerely wish them all the best for 2020 and may the new year be even more successful!
We would also like to thank the community for their commitment and dedication helping raise awareness for I/O Coin in 2019 and we hope they will continue to do so in 2020 with even more enthusiasm!
