In last month’s I/O News Update we wrote about the possibility to integrate in the Magnum Wallet and that 0.5BTC worth of donations were required in order to pay for the integration. Since last month the community really stepped up and donated lots of BTC and IOC, reaching the goal. Currently, the donated IOC is waiting to be sold on Bittrex for 1500 satoshi each and once that happens Magnum Wallet can be paid so they can start working on the integration. To speed up the process, Community Manager Matt Englund indicated that he is willing to sell the roughly 21 thousand IOC via an OTC trade but that he would have to receive the BTC before sending over the IOC. In case you’re interested, just join the I/O Coin Community Telegram channel and ask for Matt.

Also in October, Joel Bosh announced that he will most likely be a speaker on The North American Bitcoin Conference which will be held from 15th till 17th of January 2020 in Miami. He will be speaking about Multidimensional Distributed Ledgers so if you are interested and in the area make sure to check it out! A few community members have also mentioned they would like to go which makes it a perfect opportunity for a meet-up.

Furthermore, on 10th of October Joel appeared on Joe Blackburn’s Bitcoin Radio Podcast talking about how I/O Coin came into existence, the journey so far and they also discussed future upcoming upgrades for I/O Coin. Besides hosting Bitcoin Radio Joe Blackburn runs the popular Facebook group Crypto Coin Trader with 115.ooo thousand followers as well. The video of the interview on YouTube has already racked up well over 1.3k views at the time of writing and if you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch it here!

Unfortunately, there has been some drama in the community chat recently which had to be investigated and dealt with in an appropriate manner. This ultimately led to the dev team announcing that the release of the upcoming upgrade Nighthawk on the 1st of December is no longer possible. The team has done some great work so far but they will need some extra time to make sure the implementation of Nighthawk is perfect and that it also works properly in the HTML5 wallet. A new release date has not yet been mentioned but the community’s response was overall very understanding and people preferred a good working product above getting it out on 1st of December.

Lastly, Blockfolio (a crypto portfolio tracking app) recently released a new feature that enables users to trade their cryptocurrencies directly in the Blockfolio app and Bittrex has said that they are currently working on enabling this feature for IOC as well.

That’s it for this month, we hope to see you back next month for another I/O News Update!
