Take Ownership

“It is a trite yet urgently true observation that if America is to remain a first-class nation, it cannot have second-class citizens.”

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech to the National Urban League called “The Rising Tide of Racial Consciousness” is strikingly relevant right now. The words above created pause for me tonight. After meditating on them for a moment, I realized that Dr. King was stirring deep ownership within me.
