After having worked in the digital space for the past twenty years, one thing is obvious, but not always practiced — if you’re thoughtful and truly care, you can win in digital.

When I say win, I mean that everyone in the value chain wins. End users win by utilizing solutions that meet and exceed their expectations across all screens; brands win through the positive validation received from end users — their customers; and agency partners win by being recognized by clients for delivering thoughtful solutions that meet end user needs, while achieving client goals and business objectives.

So what does being thoughtful and caring look like?

Caring starts with being thoughtful. And being thoughtful starts with people. I’ve had the opportunity to learn from smart team members and great clients along the way, but regardless of levels of academic achievements earned or the number of years of experience they bring to projects, those that truly care are the real difference makers.

Thoughtful team members also want to do work that matters. Having a purpose and doing work that matters is the precursor to caring.

So, do work that matters. Find your purpose. And collaborate with teams that truly care.
