Topic of this space is focused on recently announced partnership between IAMX and NuNet.

Special Guest:

V. Kabir Veitas (@vveitas): Co-founder, NuNet

Featured Discussion:

Kabir introduces himself as co-founder of NuNet, and explains that he met Ben Goertzel, the CEO of Singularity Net, in academia. They met while Kabir was conducting doctoral research in Brussels, around 2012. Their paths crossed while working with Global Brain Institute, an organization that researches the concept of the internet itself as a decentralized intelligence.

When Singularity Net launched Kabir joined as an AI researcher. Once NuNet itself began, the crypto space stood out as an ideal platform for this project given the inherent decentralized approach to Web3, and with an interest in exploring how Web3 can be used to increase the overall intelligence of society. He believes the potential within crypto is much broader than finance.

Kabir discusses the foundations of intelligence, both the developed human intelligence and the development of artificial general intelligence. Crypto is being used as a layer of exchanging value, in this case that value is related to the growth of artificial general intelligence, and to build a decentralized computing engine which adapts to the needs of communities. This is NuNet.

Regarding the partnership with IAMX, Kabir explains that the identity solutions provided by IAMX are key to being able to identify acting entities within the space. These acting entities can be human, AI engines, algorithm, and other intelligence engines as well. Each agent within the network will be connected to a DID in order to be traceable back to its owner.

There is a fundamental dilemma in decentralized networks, which is that no one person or entity has control over that network. The dilemma arises in the event of malicious actors on the network, which does not have an authority to exclude malicious actors. Connecting acting entities to DIDs will allow a further degree of verification to actors as they continue to emerge on the network. These capabilities area not only important to IAMX and NuNet, but for the future of decentralization itself.

NuNet endeavors to harness the wealth of unused computing power and making it available for use for a rental fee. The partnership with IAMX and use of DID technology, paired with the mechanisms that make harnessing this computing power possible, will ensure regulatory clarity via clear ties of ownership.
