Twitter Space Synopsis — February 1, 2023 — vNFT Feature Series Part I
Topic of the space focuses on IAMX Verfied NFT (vNFT) products and the purposes they serve.
Ambassador Feature: fART (@cNFTfART) of Project Venus NFT project
fART first heard about IAMX directly following the Riot House NFT project “rug,” and was drawn to vNFT DID features and how they can serve the NFT space cross-chain.
fART’s background is in fine art, with a concentration in ceramics. She entered the NFT space as a collector, along the way shared some of her personal art, began working on commission pieces for things like skateboard decks, which led to working on various NFT project teams, and then to launching her own project: Project Venus.
Part II of Project Venus will be titled Mission Mars, focused on male body positivity and in a similar style to Project Venus.
Special Guests: @Cinnamon_Bunnn — @cNFTfART — @VivalaCoinBTC
Group conversation opens with the idea of fostering trust within the NFT space, without necessarily having to offer up personally identifying information. In particular, IAMX vNFT allows creators to attach their identity to their work across chains, across projects, in a way that keeps control of any and all personal information in the creator’s control.
Cinnamon introduces himself and shares that digital identity within blockchain and NFTs is among his favorite topics. This technology allows for a level of privacy that aligns with the underlying blockchain ethos.
Viva introduces himself as well, and stresses the importance of DID technology not only for its ability to identify bad actors within the space, but also as a protection for good actors. This technology allows people to participate in NFT markets and communities without the necessity of doxing their personally identifying information to gain trust.
Cinnamon shares that he initially entered crypto as he was drawn by its capabilities for governance, recordkeeping, and decentralized security. As the Cardano NFT (cNFT) space has grown, he sees identity as one of the solutions that will bloom over the next year, year and a half. He believes Cardano communities are ready for identity.
fART adds that she firmly believes the cNFT space is “hungry for digital identity” as a tool to help determine trust in new projects, particularly as the space up to this point having been so prone to scams and “rugs.”
Cinnamon adds that the prospect of what these identity solutions can provide people in developing economies is exciting. Educational credentials as an example, these solutions can provide people with the tools to store and use credentials where that capability is currently limited.
Viva gives an insight into some of his background, to include his realization early 2021 that NFT projects would be growing into an emerging form of business model. In particular, the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) model would enable individual holders to take an active role in the organization. Regarding identity, “people are incredibly hungry for digital identity, I just don’t think that they know it yet, or that they’re defining it correctly.”
Viva continues to express that while digital identity solutions will serve that community hunger within NFT markets, this will act something of a gateway to the full spectrum of utility of digital identity within blockchain and globally.
