A conversation with Dr. Andrew Ng

This week we’ve hosted our 23rd community meetup, an important achievement, as we had the opportunity to meet and join a conversation with Dr. Andrew Ng, co-founder of Google Brain, former VP / Chief Scientist at Baidu and currently co-founder of Coursera and deeplearning.ai.

A bit different from how we usually do, the event begun with a session of networking where participants shared ideas, accomplishments and tasted some of the delicious personalized muffins.

For the first part of the event, Gabriel held a presentation on Feature selection, which really engaged participants in sharing their stories and experiences.

After his presentation and a 10 minutes break, all 80+ participants gathered for the global webinar, where Andrew shared some exciting AI trends and tips and tricks for how to build a career in AI, followed by a Q&A session, where Iași participants, along with AI enthusiasts from other 9 locations asked questions. It was a great experience and everyone enjoyed every minute of the conversation.

Pie & AI — A conversation with Dr. Andrew Ng took place simultaneously in 10 locations: Iași, Berlin, Rotterdam, The Hague, London, Copenhagen, Istanbul, Antwerp, Ghent and Logroño.
