3 Things I Miss About Life in the US
Looking back after two years in Spain
I love living in Spain.
This January will mark two years of life in Galicia with my wife and we couldn’t be happier here.
I’ve written dozens of articles about the joys of living in a walkable city, the pleasures of Spanish cafe culture, and how I’ve been transformed by the high quality of life, low cost of living, and exposure to game-changing aspects of Spanish life — like affordable healthcare.
But Spain isn’t perfect. Obviously.
And even though we’re diving into our lives here, we will always be American at heart (at least a little bit).
So while I’d never trade our lives in Spain for the struggle I remember from the US, I thought it only fair to mention a few things I still miss from life back in the States.
Because it’s important to remember that moving abroad always comes at a cost.
