The grand-prize winner of the 2016 National Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year contest is Greg Lecoeur of Nice, France. Greg captured this photo, titled “Sardine Run,” during the sardine migration along the Wild Coast of South Africa. He has won a 10-day trip for two to the Galápagos with Nat Geo Expeditions and two portfolio reviews with National Geographic photo editors.
