Here we go!

As I write this, we are three days away from heading off on the experience of a lifetime to India. Since my last post, we have found out our local client and project scope of work. It’s getting more and more real as the final details come together. I will be working on a team with Begum (from Turkey) and Kevin (from the USA) and our assigned client is Don Bosco Navajeevan, Chandigarh.

Don Bosco Navajeevan is a local non-profit organization in Chandigarh founded in 2001 with the objective of providing services to the poor and at-risk youth in poverty-stricken areas. It is part of the greater Don Bosco Network spread across 139 countries, providing training, educational institutes, and community centres to young people across the globe. Our objective will be to help the organization with its long-term strategic development plan to ensure sustainability and diversify into other areas of work.

As a diverse team we bring a mix of skill-sets — from consulting to marketing and communication to human resources. I’m excited to get started on learning more about the organization and meeting key stakeholders once we arrive in Chandigarh.

But for now, back to packing! My next post will be from India, can’t wait!
