Day 1 in Johannesburg

Day 1 started with a trip to the Johannesburg IBM office where we had the CSC kickoff session with the local IBM team, where they gave us a great background around the business in South Africa. We all discussed our projects briefly, then had a group photo.

Then Beata from DOT gave a rundown on some logistics for the coming week and we zipped off to lunch at the Zulu Nyala Country Manor.

Lunch was delicious, then we walked it off by taking in the surrounds of the gardens, and the local animals.

The day concluded with learning some drumming skills on a type of drum called a Djembe.

After a long day, it was back to the hotel for a short rest and quiet dinner before catching up on some much needed sleep.
