32h (or 42h?) later and around 17.000 km flight, I finally arrived to Bangkok and day 0 is finished.

View from hotel room

I started writing this from the airplane, an A380–800(what a huge airplane!!), somewhere in the Northeast of Africa(Sudain I think) heading to Dubai where I’d do the connection to Bangkok after sleeping all the time that my body can handle to sleep in an airplane. Now I'm reviewing and finishing this from my (amazing!) hotel room in Bangkok.

Both flights were really comfortable. I was lucky enough to be able to buy a seat with extra leg space in the first and longest flight.

A lot of space for my big legs

My adventure and strong emotions started already in São Paulo airport when I realized that I forgot my international certificate of yellow fever vaccination that is required to enter in Thailand. Luckily my house is only 30min from the airport and there was time to go back home to get the certificate.

At the boarding gate I met my CSC teammate Luciana who is also going to CSC Program in Bangkok.

Traveling this big distance to East is an interesting event. We move in the opposite direction of the sun and as a consequence, the day and night are shorter. I have the impression that I’m time traveling. From the moment I left my house in São Paulo to the moment I entered my hotel room in Bangkok 32 hours passed but I actually arrived in Bangkok 42hours after I left home, 10 hours lost crossing 10 time zones (GMT -3 to GMT +7).

Time zone traveling

After arriving I was already able to do some currency exchange in a place called SuperRich and had the opportunity to try my first Thai food, the traditional Pad Thai, a stir-fried rice noodle dish, n a nice restaurant near the hotel.

Pad Thai

That's it for today. Time to rest and get ready to meet the entire CSC team tomorrow.
