I can’t believe it but two weeks are gone !

I think those were the most intense two weeks in my life !

And it scares me that we only have two weeks left. We still have so much work to do !!

In the first week we focused in reviewing our statement of work (SOW). The goal of my project is to help DEPA — Digital Economy Promotion Angency — to elaborate a set o recommendations I order to increase the quantity and quality of IT/ICT Manpower in Thailand. In other words, they need more people qualified to work in (and build) the digital world like programmers, data scientists, AI experts, etc, but also non IT people that are capable of using IT tools to drive business like economists, lawyers, general SME owners, etc.

The second week unfortunately was not very effective in terms of how much we were able to produce, but was very good to learn who are the people that we are trying to impact.

During the second week we had a chance to do a design thinking session with Thai Computer Science Students (focused on user research) and also we visited a University in a region called EEC — Eastern Economic Corridor — where we could talk with teachers and learn their perspective about what are the pain points and challenges they face while teaching IT related subjects.

Our host organization, DEPA, kindly invited us to go on a sight seeing for one day in Bangkok Old Town when we could visit some temples, experiment a traditional Thai massage and have an amazing and funny cuise dinner. It was a really great dayl

Also by Friday, our host organization, DEPA, invited us to go to the opening ceremony of one of their projects, the thaidigizens project.
