The IBM SPSS Modeler team is pleased to announce that SPSS Modeler 18.4, SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services 8.4, and SPSS Analytic Server 3.4 is generally available. These new versions within the SPSS Modeler suite of products bring new functionalities and the most requested enhancements like:

  • New options for scheduling jobs. Within SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services, users can now specify job configurations down to the second and can specify a start and end time for jobs
  • Ability to easily switch Python environments via the SPSS Modeler user interface
  • Support of new databases. With more databases supported, users now have more options to take advantage of SPSS Modeler capabilities wherever their data resides
  • Support for IBM Cloud Pak for Data template formats on Text Analytics. It is now easier for SPSS Modeler users to integrate their workload with IBM Cloud Pak for Data
  • Support of new operating systems, tools, and connectors, allowing users to be able to use the most up-to-date software

  • A new keystore migration tool is available to help user migrate Java Runtime Environment (JRE) keystore files
  • A new installation option is available for deploying at a later time
  • The installation process on IBM WebSphere Liberty has been refined and improved
  • Windows 11 is now supported
  • JBoss EAP 7.4 and WebSphere Liberty Profile 22.x are now supported
  • JDK/JRE 11 is now supported on JBoss EAP 7.x and WebSphere Liberty Profile 22.x

SPSS Analytic Server 3.4

  • Improvements to Impala performance for non-pushback functions
  • Data can now be exported to Apache Hive-partitioned tables
  • Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Private Cloud Base 7.1.7 is now supported
  • Red Hat 8.x is now supported
  • Big SQL 7 is now supported
  • R 4.0.x is now supported
  • Java 11 is now supported
