IBM Celebrates International Women’s Day
In honor of International Women’s Day on March 8, we wanted to post a few highlights of women leaders in data science and AI innovation at IBM.
IBM is proud to be a sponsor of the 2021 Women in Data Science Conference and there is still one more day to register. We encourage attendees to visit the IBM online booth and to watch the keynote talk of Andrea Martin, leader for the IBM Watson Center Munich. IBM also has hosted and will continue to host Women in Data Science events throughout 2021, such as the WiDS New York @IBM event last week, featuring researchers, executives, and data scientists from across IBM, such as Sheetal Rishi, Global Director of Cloud &AI at IBM and Gabriela de Quéiroz, a senior engineer and data science manager at IBM and founder of AI Inclusive, a worldwide organization that promotes diversity in the AI community.
We would also like to highlight some of our best of our IBM Data Science and AI Medium written and co-written by women:
Planning Sustainable Energy Generation With Machine Learning and Decision Optimization By Aakanksha Joshi
Discovering Fraud Patterns Using IBM Financial Crime Insights by Madhu Vasudevan and co-authors
Clustering of Covid-19 Lockdown Measures By Mehrnoosh Vahdat
Testing the Legacy: Getting Scripts Tested in Node By Pam-Marie Guzzo
Your Call is Important to Us — Speech UX Tips to Show You Really Care By Cari Jacobs
Finally, we also want to encourage readers to check out other WiDS events with IBMers worldwide in Cambridge (US), Pakistan, and others as noted by IBM WiDS blogger Susan Malaika. Also IBM’s Nathalie Baracaldo will be speaking at the Data Council meetup in DC on April 1st on federated learning.
