The end of the year brings an exciting new release to IBM Watson Studio Desktop Subscription.

Starting today, all Watson Studio Desktop Subscription customers can update their software to obtain the features listed below.

First, Watson Studio Desktop users in the SPSS Modeler tool will now be able to view, edit and apply SQL directly to the data asset node for all supported databases. This is an extremely popular feature from SPSS Modeler that allows users to view and edit the SQL statement before query for maximum flexibility with database connections. Give it a try next time you use databases with SPSS Modeler in Watson Studio Desktop.

Second, we’ve added a new database connection. Users can now use Google BigQuery as an input and output data source in modeler flows!

Third, we’ve included the ability to import/export projects. Watson Studio Desktop users will now be able to export a project on their local machine and import it to another machine with Watson Studio Desktop installed.

In addition to these items, we have implemented a new modularized installer for quicker download time and provided a new Text Analytics example project so users can see the power of Text Analytics at work. All the above features will come to the perpetual license version of Watson Studio Desktop in Q1 2020.

Launch Watson Studio Desktop Subscription today to download all these new features to give them a try! Additional release information can be found here. New users, register for a free 30 day trial here.
