Our documents contain vast amounts of business data, information, and ideas, but those materials are limited by the very language they are written in. Not every document can be shared readily with co-workers or clients around the world, highlighting the need for readily accessible document translation.
The IBM Watson Document Translator translates different file types while preserving format.
With IBM Watson Language Translator at its core, the IBM Watson Document Translator allows for users to build industry-specific translation models.
Supported file types:
- Microsoft-Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Rich Text Format
- Open-Office: Writer, Impress, Calc
- Other: PDF (returned as .docx and .pdf), HTML, XML, JSON, TXT
Technology Preview:
The IBM Watson Document Translator is now available in beta. The beta has a limitation of 20 MB per file.
Every Month - 1M Characters Free
The IBM Watson Document Translator follows the same pricing model as our Language Translator service and comes at no extra cost for existing users.
The IBM Cloud Lite plan allows you to translate 1M characters per month for free.
For users with larger translation volumes:
Standard plan users receive the first 250k characters free. Translations exceeding the character limit cost $.02 per thousand characters.
