How to get started with Blockchain?

Blockchain maybe the new kid on the block and in contention to replace Web 2.0. The emergence of it dated back to 1992 in the works of Stuart Haber and W. Scott Stornetta involved in securing chain of blocks with cryptography and time-stamping of documents.

The phenomenon that drove the tech to stardom was the first live product by a small group or person known as Satoshi Nakamoto. In 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published a document or what is known as a whitepaper describing a peer-to-peer digital cash system without the need of a financial intermediary e.g. banks. Its simply a means to transfer digital cash directly from the sender to the recipient. A decade later it has been widely accepted as the currency without biases known as, Bitcoin.

Bitcoin had paved the way for other applications in Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and in recent developments Decentralized Finance (DeFi).
Since then the tech has vastly matured appealing to conventional businesses to experiment with Blockchain inclusion.

Apart from being a settlement medium what uniquely characterizes Blockchain is promoting the technology to do more with less human intervention. Therefore, a consensus algorithm is pre-establish as the clockworks in which how a blockchain should function.

Today, we see an increment in applications or dapps built on any blockchain networks serving real world needs.
