3 Month Hiatus

It’s hard to believe it’s been over three months since I’ve written for this blog. Outside of proposals and grants for work, what I have written, in the meantime, is final words of wisdom to my youngest college-bound daughter and a card sent to her dorm after we moved her in. She is reason why I started this blog.

And now she is happily settled into college and figuring out a new and exciting rhythm to her life. And so it is with me. When you are the one left at home, it doesn’t seem so new and exciting, although I keep looking to see what’s around the corner. And there is newness! Stay tuned.

I had my final outdoor pool swim today (with the ambient temperature just under 70)— it’s now closed until the spring. But training continues in the Y pool and maybe at Pickerel Lake, if the weather cooperates. The first home University of Michigan football game was today. I’m under a soft blanket in the living room recliner and everything indicates fall and comfort food (which BTW can still be healthy-even if there are chocolate chips in the batter), like these muffins and meatballs, and coziness, this late Saturday afternoon.
