While we’re still working hard behind the scenes on the future of iCasting with the Talent Token, there is already an active platform running to help talents get jobs every day. At the moment it is not yet available in most of the world, so lets give a preview to anyone who isn’t able to register yet.

As you would figure, I have had an iCasting profile myself for a while now too. It started out as more of a way to look at the platform from the users side — and maybe a bit of curiosity — than anything else. Nowadays I get new job opportunities every day. But of course, as an employee of iCasting, I haven’t been able to complete much of them, though it does give me the ability to show you around. Bear in mind the images here will be mostly in Dutch.

It starts off with creating a profile. There’s the option to set up a family account for you and other family members, like your children, together, or you can make one for yourself . Next, you can choose to connect through Facebook or to fill in your personal info the regular way. After this you have officially created a profile! However, you aren’t done yet. Before you can receive any job offers we need to know a bit more about you to decide which assignments will fit you. First off: What kind of jobs would you like to do? Here you can choose one or more of the twelve types we have to offer. But that’s not all, because all the categories also have a lot of subcategories you’re able to choose from. So, if you’d like to be a tv-candidate, you can decide to just do gameshows and you won’t get any offers to appear on talkshows.

On the next screen we get to the details of your physical appearance. You can give info about your eye color, your hairstyle or whether you have facial hair — If you are a man, that is. Afterwards you can fill in what sizes you have, shirt, shoes, waist, you name it.

Now we have a general idea of what you look like and what you are interested in. Next we need to know more about the skills you have. You can add info like dance styles you know, sports you play, what instruments you are able to play and what kind of drivers license you have.

That’s it, you’re now a registered iCasting talent!

Now you have set up your account you will start receiving notifications about jobs which suit you. You’ll get an e-mail for every one of them, so you won’t miss any. In the jobs section on the website you can find all the jobs you matched with and their status, so you can filter through your old and dismissed jobs or the ones where you are still negotiating terms. If you click through on a listing you can find more info regarding the jobs details and a big button to apply. Once accepted, it the clients turn to start a dialog with you. You can both find out if you’re a match and make an appointment. Now there’s only one more thing to do: Completing the job!

If you feel you need an upper hand and want to make your profile more attractive for our clients, you can add files to your portfolio on your profile page. Think about pictures, videos or audioclips. This could give your profile just the little extra it needs. Of course skills and tastes can change, so this is also the place where you can change your job categories and competences.

Lastly, there’s also iCasting-tv and the iCasting Academy, made possible by TradeCast.tv. Here you can watch our own streaming channel, choose to follow one of the many courses we have to offer or look at the behind the scenes of some of the jobs completed through iCasting. All the courses offer a wide variety of lessons, so even an expert can learn a thing or two.
