Ever since 2013 a lot of talented people have been casted through iCastings matchmaking platform. Naturally, they will have they will have the most experience with us! We asked some of our most notabel talents about their thoughts of iCasting. Meet Eva, Arjan and Kim!

Eva — Model.

Hi, I am Eva! I’m 23 years old and have just graduated as a dietician. I have my own practice called: Better Dietician Practice. I also work as a bootcamp instructor and as a model.

About two years ago I was looking for a new modeling agency and for more jobs. I was looking online and I found iCasting. Since then I have done a few shoots for Folat. You can see one of those shoots in a video on iCasting. I’ve also made a promotional video for Butterfly Beachparty in Heerenveen and a demonstration video for Wayne Parker Kent BV, where I showed how packets have to be packed before you post them. I like the variety of the assignments.

In the future I like to do even more different jobs. I’ll let iCasting surprise me with new jobs!

Arjan — Actor. Model. Voice Actor.

My name is Arjan and I’m 39 years old. I have worked in education for over 16 years and have started acting more seriously in the last few years. About a year ago I made the leap to quit my full-time job and make acting, modeling and voice-overs my work. It’s been a difficult step and getting work isn’t always easy. Currently I’m working a lot in game and theater-like productions as an actor. Think of Prison Escape, Tracing Thomas and Agatha events. I have ambitions to start acting in films and shows.

I first heard about iCasting on set. When you’re there, you always get to talking with the other actors and ask them how they get their jobs. One of the named iCasting, after which I looked it up online. That was about 10 months ago and has given me four jobs currently.

For me, iCasting is a way to have a conversation with clients before you do the jobs, where you can make the agreements yourself and iCasting takes care of the business side. There’s no busy-work with setting up contracts, but you do however get to opportunity to negotiate. Mostly, however, it’s a place where you can be found as an actor.

All the jobs I have gotten through iCasting were a lot of fun. They’ve been in widely varying locations. One was at a heavily secured chemical park and another in the beautiful nature and forests of Drenthe. The one that stuck with me the most, was an assignment where a long conversation had to be put on tape where humor was a key element. Because we already had a nice atmosphere and made a lot of jokes before filming it was done in no-time. Being in the flow really makes for a great day taping!

Up next are more commercials and, of course, a big role in a show or/and a movie. As voice actor I want to give my voice to a prominent character in a cartoon or animated movie. As a model i want to show of clothes in a catalog. So to all the clients out there: Find me and assign me!

Kim — Actress.

I’m Kim (38) and it’s my ambition to challenge myself in al kinds of ways. Eventually I want to stop working my office job so I can pour myself fully into blogging and vlogging. Then I can accept all iCasting jobs immediately because I can organize my own time.

I found iCasting when a friend of mine tagged me in a Facebook post where they were looking for a vlogger for a mom platform. I immediately signed myself up for it, but also made known that I was open for different jobs.

Since that moment, about a year ago, I’ve had four assignments. One of them is still ongoing — the vlogging for ikenmama.nl. iCasting actually has started to mean a whole lot to me! Everytime I get a new match my curiosity takes over and I immediately take a look at the website. And of course because it’s also because I can now permanently vlog for ikenmama.nl. I also got my very first acting job through iCasting, which was very exciting, but also very educational, interesting and fun!

I look most fondly at my jobs for — what else — ikenmama.nl and my acting debut for a commercial, but also the ‘smashcake’ pilot I did together with my daughter Cis (2) was amazing. For the next weeks I could still find the glitters that were used and I had to wash our clothes seven times before the sour whipped-cream smell got out of them, but I wouldn’t want to miss it for any gold!

Eventually I think it would be very cool to act in commercials and movies. Not only because it looks amazing, but also to set another ‘example’. It seems my size 46/48 isn’t perfect, but does everything have to be the ‘perfect picture’? And what is ‘perfect’ anyway?

“Hi! I’m Kim and I’m not perfect. Or am I? When is someone perfect?

Does your neighbor also coincidentally come pick up a wrongly delivered package when you’re just wearing a thing and a t-shirt, while your hanging on the couch and eating a bag of chips? Yes exactly, no bra, which you actually do always need. And of course your make-up has run down and your hair is a mess. And it’s just the day your house is one big chaos because you weren’t in the mood to clean everything you were leaving behind? Then you have a good chance that my weekly vlogs and blog are for you. I don’t know what it’s like for you, but around here no one comes walking in after my house has been made spotless, my nails are polished and I’m reading hip magazines while shining at the dinner with a latte macchiato.

Every week I share a video and a story at www.kimwijnker.nl about my perfect, imperfect life.”
