Cutting The Collective Tongue To Spare The Snake

Speech is essential for ideas to develop,
For questions to be presented without bias
When your tongue, and the tongue of the collective,
Is cut out then democracy falls silent
It only takes one force with bad intentions
Using other vessels to bite the people it is against
A snake with a cardboard smile who poisons
The world around it with its fractured ideas
To destroy years of unity and progress
It slithers and spouts division
Because it views people with jaded lenses
Treating different thoughts and feelings
As grievous harm against it.
