Fixably was founded by a group of people with long experience in the Apple repair service industry and scaling a high-speed Apple Authorized Service Provider-startup, mcare. mcare is a Nordic-based Apple repair service company, one of the biggest Apple Service Providers within Europe. Joel Mansnerus is the entrepreneur of mcare, where he led the company from scratch to near $30M annual revenue, before committing full time as the CEO and co-founder at Fixably less than nine months ago. “After twenty years of working with Apple repairs which of ten years building its own repair service company, it became clear that the best way to secure high growth is a purpose-built software supporting the employees and customers from all ends to any end,” said Joel Mansnerus.
Most repair shops either use outdated specialized software or expensive and limited in-house software based on a generic ERP. For Apple products, there is no real match for Fixably, considering the benefits customers gain using our platform.
We’ve seen a glimpse of similar efficiency gains in custom-built in-house solutions, but they come with even a 50x price tag in total ownership cost and fail to gather the best practices from the broader industry.
“In the last few years, tens of thousands of companies have tried to find a cloud-based affordable software to manage their repair service business, and that wave is only starting to build up,” said Joel Mansnerus. “What we’re seeing is that after more than doubling down on efficiency, the focus turns to customer satisfaction and time to focus on growth. Companies that have started well are now struggling because they run their operations on top of old fashioned database-type software or within a POS system’s service module. We’re here to fix that.”
Fixably automates 80% of the manual work in repair services while maintaining excellent customer experience and enhancing data visibility.
The current customer base of Fixably has developed organically through referrals from both Apple and existing customers who have brought in new customers. With the investment from Icebreaker.vc, Fixably plans to aggregate sales and marketing activities, especially within North America. We will also launch something exciting in the coming year, which will benefit many repair service providers. We hope that with the help of Fixably, our customers can extend the lifetime of 100 billion devices, and that’s just the start of it.
