Sellforte raises €4 million to bring science to marketing

We are thrilled to announce our continued investment in Sellforte alongside Bonnier Ventures and the leading investor Sonae IM!

We interviewed Sellforte’s founding team back in 2017 and when asked about the company’s future, the answer was: “We aim to build a world-class product that no one has successfully done before. I’m confident that with this team and the future recruits we will do it.” The €4M seed funding announced last week solidifies that Sellforte is exactly what Juha, Mikko and Teppo envisioned it to be; a unique world-class product that is solving a critical issue for marketing executives.

The story behind Sellforte is very typical to our portfolio; all three co-founders have a strong experience from fields such as management consulting, software development, data science, scientific research, as well as marketing and retail. In 2017 they all took a leap of faith, left their jobs at the time and joined forces to build Sellforte. What makes Sellforte’s story even more interesting is that 4 years ago, spring 2017, Juha took part in our Pre-Founder Project, where he met like-minded aspiring entrepreneurs and got to spar his ideas with the Icebreaker team. And just a few months after Sellforte closed their angel round with us. Ideas like Sellforte and founders like Juha are the reason we strive to support pre-founders through our community as well as programmes like Pre-Founder Project.

Founded in 2017 by Juha Nuutinen, Mikko Ervasti, and Teppo Luukkonen, Sellforte was inspired by applying data science to high-impact management consulting projects. Since day one, the focus has been automating the most useful analyses and delivering advanced analytics as a service to marketers.
