The cliché “New year, new me!” became somewhat true during the last year. In March 2020, we at Icebreaker.vc switched over to a full-remote setup, and have stayed & will stay so for the foreseeable future. Even if we are remote-first, we still have first-class office spaces in Helsinki and Stockholm (and soon elsewhere 😉) for every team member to use. We have expanded our operations, so now it’s time to expand our team.
We are looking for new investment team members to join our remote team!

We are a bunch of highly self-motived minds looking for the next category-defining technology and supporters of extremely strong founders with domain expertise. While I can’t really describe how a “normal” day at Icebreaker.vc looks like, I ensure you that we give an opportunity to test the first steps of your career within early-stage venture capital and entrepreneurship, while giving space and possibilities to thrive and excel. Oh, and you will get a taste of the famous Icebreaker Salt 🧂.
What we are looking for
Are you currently thinking about the similarities between venture investing, Michelin restaurants, and Formula 1? Probably not, but don’t worry, I can give the answer later.
Venture investing is a competitive environment where many firms are trying to find the “next 🦄”. Our approach is heavily focused on sourcing, where the Analysts are on the front line talking with and learning from entrepreneurs. Since day 1, you will be supported by the whole investment team (who? well, look for the yellow labels in the picture above).
Are you an entrepreneur, software developer, management consultant, or product manager doesn’t really matter, as long as you
- Have the hunger to win and lift hay on the stick — there are over 10 000 new software-driven companies founded per year in Finland, Sweden, and Estonia.
- Have a strong analytical mind and an eye for detail — you need to know when you have gold on the stick.
- Are an ultimate team player who’s great with different people — every day, you will be talking with different persons with different backgrounds in different geographies.
- Like to figure out what makes a successful founding team and tech startup — we’re not only investors, but also coaches and venture builders.
- Fluent in English — Svenska, Eesti keel, and Suomi are considered as major plus
Practicalities
Icebreaker.vc Investment Analyst programme is a 4-month programme. After the program, our ambition is to give you the keys to pursue a career within our network: at a portfolio company, another hot startup, or even at Icebreaker.vc as a full-time investment team member.
