Salesforce Developing a Blockchain-Based Product
Salesforce’s CEO, Marc Benioff, has revealed that his company is developing a product based on blockchain technology. According to CoinDesk, Benioff revealed this news in an interview with Business Insider at the TrailheaDX Salesforce Developer Conference. Benioff said he learned about blockchain while attending the World Economic Forum, where he had a conversation with an attendant of a cryptocurrency conference that was also occurring.
Gemini Announces Release of Its New Block Trading Service
Gemini, a licensed digital asset exchange and custodian, has announced the release of its new service, called Gemini Block Trading. In a press release, the company explained that Gemini Block Trading is an electronic block trading facility. The company claims that Block Trading enables its customers “to buy and sell large quantities of digital assets outside of Gemini’s continuous order books, creating an additional mechanism to source liquidity when trading in greater size.”
USD 1.6 Billion Fund Revealed at Opening of Blockchain Industrial Park in China
Chinese officials and private company representatives announced a USD 1.6 billion blockchain innovation fund during the opening of the Hangzhou Blockchain Industrial Park in China. According to CoinTelegraph, the fund, called the Xiongan Global Blockchain Innovation Fund, is financed by the Yuhang District Government, the Future Science and Technology City Administrative Committee, and the Hangzhou Haoyu Investment Management Company. 30 percent of the total funds are “government-guided.”
