Augmented reality glasses are super cool. Ideally, I would like to have them connected all the time and some person no the ground would give me instructions.

Google Glass was the first in the class. Rumours are the first prototype was created in a day using Chinese cutlery. (I don’t know the word, in Polish “paleczki”)

I was lucky enough to work for Microsoft (6 months contract) in Central London development office. Because of the flagship location (Oxford Street) it was the home of Hololens excellence centre where many industry leaders were coming to experience the product.

It is often the case with technology development — at first it is expensive and only F1, Wall St traders and military can afford it.

In the promo videos there is always an engineer messing up with the some complex machinery. Engineering time is expensive, down time is expensive — it makes sense

Another use case (hopefully it won’t be necessary anytime soon) is friendly fire on the battlefield. Go figure the book “Extreme Ownership” about Navy Seals and some lessons in management, especially in high stress situations. Iraq does not have street names — there were instances where some guys are good guys… It’s massively uncool. Simple position market and AR glasses — problem solved.

Another use case

When attending a conference there 1000s of people — who should I talk to?

I’d love to have some extra info about the people I’m interacting with, to make my time more meaningful.

Handy links

ICO bonuses

Whales get bonuses.

It makes sense — you invest more — you are more important — you deserve more.

On the other hand — small investors do not get bonuses — this can be solved by a smart contract.

It was Vitalik who suggested such solution :)

Patents

These guys have several patents — no kidding. Being legitimate. Credibility. It matters. It’s basic fundamental research.

PhD

If the CEO is PhD it means they know their craft.

Check his LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cliffordgross/

(if I had more time and faster internet I’d do more research about his PhD thesis)

Wings platform

That’s how I came to know about lucyd. To be honest Wings didn’t deliver yet on their original promise. Instead — forecasting platform. And some mechanism to get some free tokens….

Summary

DYOR — always do your own research. Me = random guy on the internet. Do not trust random guys on the internet. Simple, easy, practical.

I’m looking into ways where to put 0.5–1 ETH (I’m not a whale) of my own and it seems like a sensible options. Do your own research, FFS.
