What is ICO OF KOREA?
by ICO OF KOREA your ultimate guide to Korean ICOs and the Korean cryptocurrency market
I am guessing the term ICO, or “Initial Coin Offering”, is quite familiar to a lot of people at this point. ICO OF KOREA, however, is definitely something new for most of the people on medium. Korea is a popular market in terms of cryptocurrency. The many people I have met from this area have agreed with this statement. I have heard many claims about the Korean market such as Korea is the 3rd biggest market for crypto or 30% of the white-collars have invested in crypto. These claims are not confirmed, but it surely does imply the importance of the Korean market.
ICO OF KOREA is not new for the investors in Korea.
ICO OF KOREA has a concrete community base and its posts are listed on the first page of NAVER, which is the Google equivalent of Korea.
So far the focus of ICO OF KOREA was to expand our blog and community to the Korean people. I believe that the cryptocurrency information available on Korean social media is not that reliable. Most Korean investors are more keen towards private & public sales and as a result most ICO reviews are focused on those aspects. ICO OF KOREA differentiated itself by focusing on the technical aspects and social value the project can deliver. This has been appreciated by many people, thus explaining how ICO OF KOREA was able to grow so big even though it only started late-May.
Yet if ICO OF KOREA does the same on Medium, I do not think it will be as successful as it is in Korea.
Why? Because there are so many sites and individuals that have already done what ICO OF KOREA has been doing. CryptoBriefing, for example, is a site that I frequently check for its high-quality reviews. Considering its popularity, if ICO OF KOREA launched on Medium today, I am not sure if we can have the same recognition as CryptoBriefing.
Then what is ICO OF KOREA’s differentiating point?
Right now on Korean social media, more and more people are posting cryptocurrency (mostly ICOs) information that is available on foreign media such as CoinTelegraph, CCN, ICODrops, etc. These channels would be the go-to channels for non-Korean investors, but they are not for Korean investors since there is a language barrier. How about the other way? There is a plethora of Korean ICOs and news, but it is not easily accessible because of the language barrier (of course the reverse this time). Here is our differentiation. ICO OF KOREA will be the first to actively post Korean ICOs and Korean market news. ICO OF KOREA hopes that it can help foreign investors have a better insight of the Korean market and its investors.
