Icon Africa Offline Event #2 September 2020
The icon Africa team hosted the concluding part of the 4 meetups which took place across Nigeria and Ghana, this last event took place in the wonderful city of Kumasi in the ohwimase Ashanti region Ghana. this event was mainly a question and answer session as was hinted in the last event, recap of how things went down during the event is as follows.

The event lasted for 4 hours, during the presentation the speaker highlighted the need for transparency and efficiency of a blockchain and how icon has a great level of transparency, he also stated the fact that every grants given out by the icon foundation is very much available in the open for everybody to see, he also stated that icon Governance system is very transparent. he also sighted the fact that some projects are not so transparent in their dealings and how such practice can hinder the development of the space. during the question and answer session which dominated most of the event the host answered series of questions which ranged from
- why the staking rewards seems to fluctuates
- Icon Roadmap for Africa
- Other ways to stake icx
- some guidelines and clarifications regarding Applying for grants
- decentralized financing trends in the space
- remittance possibility with icon etc.
the host of the ama also welcomed onboard 3 more volunteers who joined the Icon Africa team, they intend to propagate icon more into research universities in the country and also assist in content creation and distribution.
a total of 33 people attended the event. during the closing remarks mr nana thanked immensely all those who contributed their time, resources and efforts to make the event a success, he also thanked the Icon Africa leader Mr.chid for taking up this initiative and called for closer collaboration with other countries in Africa to set up similar events.
