Icon Africa Offline Event September 2020

The team organised and successfully hosted the second meetup event in Kumasi Ghana on the 7th day of September 2020, this event was a continuation of the earlier event which took place in the month of August. attendants were mostly people that came for the earlier event,they were mostly students from the department of chemical engineering.the host speaker in the event Mr nana gave an introduction of himself in the opening remarks, the participants took turns to introduce themselves and their individual backgrounds.

The presentation focused more on usability and applications of blockchain with emphasis on icon. he highlighted the fact that most blockchains outhere had no tangible , physical use case that can be applied in the daily lives of people, he stated that icon can boast of tangible use cases that are applicable to daily lives sighting Myid and its implementation and others, he also encouraged the people to seek out more solutions that can be built using the icon blockchain. during the interactive question and answer session one of the participants asked questions about the challenges he had with staking the icx tokens he purchased, the presenter nana walked him through the process and demonstrated how easy it was to do. he also encouraged them to research more and prepare all there questions , he stated that the next event which will take place on the 10th of September will be largely questions and answer interactive session.

overall the icon Africa team is making progress and is not relenting in bringing icon project to Africa.
