Do you have ICX and want to be involved in the ICON community but do not know where to start? ICON DAO has developed this easy 5-step tutorial to help you vote for the P-Rep candidate you want to represent you.

Step 1. Visit the ICON P-Rep candidate list to read the candidate proposals. https://icon.community/iconsensus/candidates/

Step 2. Once you have found candidates you have liked, the next thing you will need is a wallet. If you do not have one, follow the next steps, if you already do have one, skip to Step 3.

  • An ICX Chrome extension wallet, or Ledger S Nano will do.
If you do not have a wallet you can get the recommended wallet directly from ICON themselves by going to icon.foundation
  • On the upper right corner, there is a wallet tab that opens up Google Play store for downloading and installing ICONex wallet.
  • Create your wallet by filling out your personal information and saving your keys.

You can click the extension whenever you want to access your wallet and account.

Now that you have your wallet.

Step 3. Open your ICONex wallet and click the Voting tab.

This is will open the Voting and Staking page for ICON governance.

Step 4. Click “My Status” and connect your created or added wallet to the ledger.

Step 5. After connecting your ledger you can now begin using your ICX to stake and then vote using the “adjust” button.

On this page you also will see your estimated I-SCORE and the information on who you have staked and voted for.

Easy right? Hope this tutorial helped. Check our FAQ sheet for additional information on voting and ICON in general.
