ICON DAO Pushing Global Recognition of ICON Network: Nobel Peace Summit Use of Blockchain Services.
ICON DAO is an experienced blockchain development team focused on developing innovative blockchain solutions for building stronger decentralized communities. As strategic partners to ICON Foundation, our objective is to use our DAO community building technologies, blockchain development expertise and global business network to support and expand the ICON ecosystem.
It is with great pride that the ICON DAO team is very happy to announce our ambitious collaboration project with The World Summit of the Nobel Peace Laureates to implement a blockchain-based certification system using our integrated CAN Lab community building tools and ICON Network products.
The Nobel Peace Summit
Since its establishment in 1999, the Nobel Peace Summit has become one of the most prestigious and celebrated events related to peace and activism in the world. The event, to be held this year in Seoul South Korea, gathers Nobel Peace Laureates, peace architects, young activists, high-profile authorities and representatives from renowned organizations across the world to promote and celebrate world peace.
“Leading by Example” is the official educational Youth Program of the Summit. It will unite more than 1,000 university students and young leaders from all over the world and allow these young delegates to interact and learn from Nobel Peace Prize winners through a series of workshops, lectures and activities.

Our role with the Summit will be helping to produce and oversee the deployment of the blockchain-based certification system process that would be used to grant the Summit community their respectful certifications.
Thousands of Summit participants will be easily registered and onboarded to a central easy-to-use platform for issuing certificates that reflect the completion and participation of their various activities. These certifications will be in the form of ICON network’s public chain system broof and CryptoBadge, a reputation system developed by our team.
As participants in the educational programs are awarded actual university academic hours, this is a very crucial task that our team would undertake.
This will allow participants of the official Youth Program to be certified on the blockchain in a way that will be trusted, verifiable and forgery-proof.
We believe this is a very important use case for an application built on ICON network and a great testament to the work our team will continue to contribute to the network as P-Reps. We are ready to expend the man-hours and technology needed to make this a success and we hope this will be a major contribution towards legitimization of ICON Project, DAOs and the entire blockchain industry.
