Dribbble Meetup Copenhagen 2017

For the second year in a row, Iconfinder created a fun occasion for local design community to meet, socialize and get inspired by three great talks given by local and international speakers. The Dribbble meetup in Copenhagen gathered a mixed crowd of both Danes and internationals living in the capital, and initiated a number of design conversations and cheeky jokes, all fostered by a good amount of local craft beer.

The meetup took place on September 7th at the Falcon.io headquarters in the heart of Copenhagen, and gathered over a hundred designers, illustrators, developers and design enthusiasts.

Heavy rain didn’t stop the attendees from filling out the venue, and that was a result of a truly impressive speaker lineup.

The opening talk was made by Nicky Grunfeld, Design Director at Trustpilot, who questioned what defines a “good designer”.
Tim Allison, Product Design Lead at Zendesk was the second speaker and gave an entertaining look into his professional work cycle while contrasting it to what’s been going on in his life “behind the scenes”.
The third speaker came all the way from Vancouver. Meg Robichaud, illustration lead at Shopify, gave an intimate look in her career path and her recent experiences while shifting from a freelance illustrator to a full-time illustration lead at a large organization.

We would like to say a massive thanks to our sponsors Falcon.io, Creuna, Valtech, Trustpilot and Cotter, who all contributed in making the event more entertaining.

The meetup was part of the Techfestival, so when the talks were over, all attendees were invited to join the remaining festival program in Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District.

Also, don’t forget to check out open positions at our sponsors’ companies. Creuna is looking for a Senior Digital Art Director and a Senior UX Designer. Trustpilot is looking for a UX Manager and a Product Designer.

We are also looking for a freelance designer to review icon set submissions. For more info, read the Content Reviewer job description.

See you at the next event!
