Bitfex Exchange is LIVE
Greetings to all Bitfex community members and investors! The team is very happy to inform you that the Exchange is live and you can start trading by registering here.
After arduous labour, hard crypto winters and countless hours of building, testing, iterating and fine-tuning, the team is proud to present the first complete crypto derivatives exchange in the space!
The following linear Bitcoin contracts, settled in USDT, are available for trading:
- BTC/USDT linear perpetual contract
- BTC/USDT linear quarterly futures contracts
- Exchange Quoted Spreads for the above-mentioned outright contracts
As we progress, we will be expanding our product line with more contracts as well as integrating more crypto assets. Moreover, exciting rewards await those who will join the Bitfex community to trade on the exchange and participate in the Bitfex ecosystem.

BFX Token: IMPORTANT UPDATE
As the Bitfex project is now completely self-funded, we want to ensure maximum value for our token holders by introducing attractive incentives for the different participants in the ecosystem we are creating.
This requires that the token usage distribution and rewards structures be revised in line with our outlook and thus we are going ahead and creating a new smart contract for BFX.
The newly created BFX will be swapped once the new smart contract is live, with all the existing token holders receiving the new tokens in their ERC-20 wallets, equal to the number of tokens they hold when we take a snapshot of the old BFX smart contract.
In the meantime, all token holders with BFX on ProBit are requested to withdraw tokens from the exchange to an ERC-20 wallet, since ProBit is not agreeing to cooperate with the token swap without further payment, which we feel could be better used for Pool creation on Balancer and Uniswap.
To all token holders who lost their BFX on VinDax, we will assess and see how to fairly compensate you for your lost tokens, even though we as a team had no liability for the actions and security of VinDax.
A final date for the swap will be announced, along with the updated token structuring and reward distribution pool size with exact numbers. We will also finalise the dates for Balancer and Uniswap pool creation shortly.
