Bitfex Exchange: Public Access is now open!
Post the tryouts by our closed group of traders and investors, Bitfex Crypto Derivatives Exchange is now open to the public!
Members of the public can now test out Perpetual Contracts, Quarterly Futures and industry-first Exchange Quoted Spreads for Bitcoin, on the Bitfex Exchange. To place orders using the web platform, all you have to do is register on Bitfex, activate your account and you’re good to go! You can sign-up for your Bitfex Exchange account here.
Every user will get 1 virtual Bitcoin to test out the platform. For the time being, deposits to the Bitfex Exchange have not been enabled. Currently, we are conducting the internal testing of the Public API while all testing for internal APIs has been completed. As soon as Public API tests are complete, which will happen in some time, deposits along with trading via the Public API will be enabled. All registered accounts will be able to deposit BTC once deposits are enabled and will be able to live trade; no re-registration will be required.
Exchange Quoted Spreads for Bitcoin, introduced for the first time in crypto, are available to test on the platform! Bitcoin spread contract structure, profit/loss calculations, settlement and how Spread Contracts are priced have been explained under Bitfex’s official documentation of Exchange Quoted Spreads. Quarterly Bitcoin Futures as well Bitcoin Perpetual Contract can also be tested. Presently, two Futures contracts, for March 2020 and June 2020, and consequently, three spread contracts are available on Bitfex. Details about the contracts, maximum position size, contract codes and more relevant information can be viewed by going through the official documentation.
