Keith Olbermann’s “The Closer” and “The Resistance” have been viewed almost 170 million times on GQ’s YouTube and Facebook
I was clicking around GQ’s YouTube channel, and I couldn’t easily figure out how many total views Keith Olbermann’s videos have received, so I tallied them myself. Then two weeks later I went to GQ’s Facebook and tallied the total views of videos there. Here are my findings.
Keith Olbermann has been making videos with GQ since September 2016. I’ve adopted GQ’s terminology for these videos. Specifically, GQ refers to videos made up to November 9, 2016 (just after the 2016 U.S. presidential election) as “Season 1,” aka “The Closer.” And GQ refers to videos made from mid November 2016 onwards as “Season 2,” aka “The Resistance.”
Following is a text version of the above table.
“The Closer” with Keith Olbermann has been viewed nearly 47 million times on YouTube and Facebook
As of March 14, 2017, the 40 episodes of “The Closer” (season 1) that are on GQ’s YouTube have been viewed a total of 8,919,193 times.
As of March 28, 2017, videos of “The Closer” that are on GQ’s Facebook have been viewed a total of 37,952,809 times.
“The Resistance” with Keith Olbermann has been viewed over 123 million times on YouTube and Facebook
As of March 14, 2017, the 46 episodes of “The Resistance” (season 2) that are on GQ’s YouTube have been viewed a total of 14,079,395 times.
As of March 28, 2017, videos of “The Resistance” that are on GQ’s Facebook have been viewed a total of 108,811,000 times.
My above figures exclude views of the same videos that are on GQ’s website, which uses a non-YouTube and non-Facebook video player.
