In the last few years numerous entertainment products have been remakes or reboots of previous successful series. Remakes such as 007 Casino Royale is intented to start a franchise over. Reboots are continuations of previous series, such as Star Wars, Blade Runner, Indiana Jones(Harrison Ford only does reboots). Reuse are films that use previous established characters in new ways. The Lego Movie series can be an example of this with hero characters such as Wonder Woman and Superman, or the use of Sauron as an extra villain character. The recent movie Ready Player One uses its premise to allow views to relive 80s nostalgia - for example- the Back to the Future car, the Delorean, is a prominent character in the movie. As is the Iron Giant. All have featured plot points that return viewers to the nostalgia filled decade of the 80s. I intend to critic the environment between remake, reboot and the use of characters as new characters in different plots.
