Miros masterpiece, “The Farm” depicts a relatively chaotic environment taking place on a farm. We can see many aspects of a Spanish farming culture, and what appears to be an arid farming landscape. Although the ground appears to be infertile, there are a few green plants erupting from the brown land. The watering can is also colored green, and is seated in the center of the piece. This being the centerpiece was an intentional move, showing that fertile things can grow from an infertile environment. This is a clear reference to life, saying that good things can come from a negative, uncertain place. A tree growing right behind the watering can is also a depiction of of life coming from a place of death. The clutter that exists in this piece reflects the clutter that can exist in the human mind. Everyone goes through periods where life becomes uncertain and the brain feels like a messy room, and that is reflected perfectly through this piece.

Beyond the houses and infertile looking land, we can see a pool of water, and a green forested landscape. This is a representation of greater things can come beyond a negative childhood. The more vibrant colors in the horizon show that you may have to go through a challenging journey, but there are always greater things to come if you put in the work to get to them. Overall, this piece is an interesting depiction of the human experience, and the challenges that come with it.
