Idena announces the winners for its challenges at GitxChange Hackathon

Idena partnered with Gitcoin and RadicalxChange for a virtual hackathon that ran from May 27th to June 16th, 2020. There were two Idena challenges at the GitxChange Hackathon: Build Idena Ethereum Relay and Use Sign-In with Idena function. Now we are ready to announce the winners.

Idena Ethereum Relay challenge

The $5k prize of this challenge goes to @henryfour (see Github) who implemented the relay mechanism with BLS signatures and the lowest gas consumption. However, the gas consumption is to be improved for further adoption.

Sign-In with Idena challenge

The Idena community has voted on submissions for this challenge. The results of this vote have been taken into account by the Idena team when choosing the winners.

First prize ($1.5k)

Idena Discord auth bot — a free Discord bot that links Idena identities with matching Discord roles (see Github)

The Idena Discord bot immediately became a useful and used tool. It is a great showcase of integrating Idena’s cryptoidentity with 3rd party services. The bot also has wide potential within Discord to be used for airdrops, giveaways, voting, etc.

Second prize ($1k)

idenary.com — a game and art project built upon Idena (see Github)

We see Idenary as a great example of a tech art project that allows for creative collaborative experience and gamified community engagement.

Third prizes ($500 each)

idena.vote — a customized polls website (see Github)

The idena.vote project has the declared functionality and quite a lot of features, though need to be polished.

idenapoll.com — a polling website guaranteeing the uniqueness of each vote and creating sybil-resistant polls (see Github)

Idenapoll is a well-thought project meeting all the challenge requirements.

fairdrop.io — airdrops with the fairness they were supposed to have (see Github)

Fairdrop aims to become a reference for truly fair Airdrops with a high granularity level.

The decision is made by the Idena team and is considered to be final. All the prizes will be paid in DNAs at the price of 1 DNA = $0.1.
