Idena Core Team Development
Idena Referral Program
To encourage and reward Idena ambassadors, advocates, local community leaders, influencers, and everyone who spreads the word about Idena, we introduce the Idena referral program! The program offers an opportunity to earn rewards for new validated identities they bring to the network.
Referral program mechanics:
- Apply for participation by submitting Referral link request form. Get approved and get your personal referral link;
- Educate your community about Idena;
- Share your referral link, motivate your audience to join and help them to get an invite by tweeting about Idena;
- Help your invitees through the onboarding process, remind them about the validation ceremony and help them get validated;
- After the validation ceremony contact the core team and get rewarded for each validated identity referred by you.
The identity is considered a referee if the following conditions are met:
- the referee has received an invite via Twitter on https://www.idena.io/join-idena;
- the referee opened https://www.idena.io/join-idena with your referral link;
- the referee has successfully activated the invite and passed the following validation.
Web App
There’s not so much that has been released in the Web App during this epoch, because we have been working on a major feature behind the scenes. Want to have a sneak peek?
Yes, we are working on the test validation! This feature will allow candidates to train to pass the validation in the conditions as close to real as possible: follow the validation schedule, face the time constraints, and have explanatory feedback on their score. We expect that test validation will help to educate candidates and help the validated identities to evaluate their invitees. Soon in the Web App, stay tuned!
Meanwhile, the Web App is becoming more and more popular for taking part in the validation ceremony:
Desktop App
In the Desktop App, we are working on a feature that will give more constructive feedback to the user after the validation ceremony: validation report. Another sneak peek for the regular readers of the Idena Chronicles:
Our goal with the validation report in the Desktop App is to bring the results of the validation closer to the user and make the scores and rewards easier to understand. The report gives the user personalized feedback about validation results and rewards, which can help them to improve their validation score, and also positively affect critical network mechanics like making good flips, reporting, distributing the invitations, and many more.
Node
A new version of the Idena node has been released with major performance upgrades,
IPFS version upgrade, and bug fixes. This time, there were no problems with block mining at the peak network load during the validation. As one of the community members reported:

Happy Birthday Idena, two years old and stronger than ever!
In case you missed it, this Epoch marked the 2nd Birthday of the Idena community. Two years ago, a Telegram group and a Bitcoin Talk thread were created, and since then, the community has been growing continuously, through ups and downs, with now many local groups thriving all over the world.
Idena lives through its Community and we thank all of you for making Idena more open, decentralized, and resilient every day.
