Meet Training Validation, a new feature in the Idena Web App!
Training validation can help new users to learn the validation process and to get used to strict validation timing. Validated identities can use test validation to educate their candidates and make sure they are committed to attending the validation ceremony. Try it out and share your thoughts!
To run the Training Validation, you need to be connected to a shared node. Later we will add temporary node keys that will allow new users to take Training Validation even before they activate an invite.
By now, we invite validated identities to use this feature to assess their candidates:
- contact your candidates, ask them to take the Training validation, and ask for their certificate;
- if the candidate can’t or doesn’t want to do that, that can be a signal that this candidate treats your invitation lightly and will not come to the next validation;
- in this case, you can find another candidate who is more committed, kill your existing invitation and issue a new one to the better candidate;
- keep in mind that the later in the epoch you issue the invitation the less reward you get, so consider carefully when changing your candidates.
