Known for their lower-budget comedy-drama films, including the 2006 film Little Miss Sunshine, Big Beach is a New York based independent production company founded in 2004 by Marc Turtletaub and Peter Saraf.

The monogram logo represents obviously waves, and the logotype has a nice balance between the art and creativity of the East side and the sense of the West Coast. However, the logo itself is not that characteristic maybe.

But, the way how the logo is used works really well. Like every movie productions, Big Beach also has an opening animation. The sand-made logo with a surf makes a strong identity .

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find who made the logo so I would really appreciate if you tell me.

Edited:

Via Twitter, I got who did it from the company account. It was designed by a New York based agendy, GrandArmy.

Happy to know the behind the scenes ;-)
