It’s been a wild, crazy year for cryptoassets.

While the explosion of the market cap has been exhilarating to watch, we at IDEO CoLab believe blockchains and cryptoassets are catalysts for a broader movement to open permissionless protocols and infrastructure which will define the future of how we live, work, and play.

To spread the love, we’re celebrating this season by launching a little scavenger hunt to wish our community “Happy HODLdays!”

What is “HODL?”

From UrbanDictionary:

An enthusiastic misspelling of Hold, prompting bitcoin users to avoid the temptation of selling off their coins once price starts rising (ed. note: or dipping).

The Rules

Starting on Christmas Day and continuing for 12 days, @ideocolab will send out a series of tweets with the tag #happyHODLdays. Each tweet will contain a riddle or hint to guide you to a word, all of which are contained somewhere in this list.

The 12 words will unlock a wallet that holds some BTC and ETH. It was worth a few hundred dollars at the time we made the deposit, so the lucky (and clever) winner may want to HODL those winnings for years to come. 😉
