Highlights from our Crypto Developer Webinars
Pro tips for building with Ethereum, NEAR, Oasis, Stellar, and Tezos
Last month, we announced the IDEO + CoinList Hackathon: Making Blockchains Useful and Usable, a hackathon that focuses not only on end-user applications, but on real-world adoption and increasing the number of people who can interact with crypto-native products.
Since teams still have until September 9 to launch their application (and use the following two weeks to show measurable adoption), we’ve recently held several webinars to help developers get up to speed on the five protocols featured — Ethereum, NEAR, Oasis, Stellar, and Tezos — with experts running demos and Q&As.
Since the webinars are long (about an hour each!) and chock-full of good content, we’ve pulled the highlights for you here. Dive in, learn something new, and don’t forget to register for the IDEO + CoinList Hackathon here before September 9. Happy building!
Ethereum with Austin Griffith
Watch one of the Ethereum ecosystem’s top developers get inspired to throw away the script and live code a DAPP on the fly, run through an intro to Clovis and Dapparatus as tools for rapid iteration, and explain where to get ideas on what to build.
Oasis with Vishwa Raman
Learn about how the Oasis protocol integrates with secure enclaves to enable new security and privacy guarantees for application makers, then jump into the basics of how to start building on Oasis.
Tezos with Andrew Smith, Vishakh Null, and Matej Šima
Get an intro to ConseilJS — the Javascript library that allows application developers to create and interact with Tezos using the language they know. Then, dive into the TezosKit for iOS development and start building your app.
NEAR with Peter DePaulo and Jess Watson Miller
NEAR optimizes for an amazing, familiar, fast-feedback developer experience; this starts with their in-browser IDE. Learn how to start building with it, and follow up by reading through the community resource links.
Stellar with Tomer Weller
See how quickly and easily developers can create new assets on the Stellar protocol using the network’s built-in primitives, build Keybase bots, and get an intro to op codes.
