How to Contribute to the Aurora Token Sale

The Aurora Token Sale starts Monday December 11th, 2017 at 4PM UTC and ends Thursday January 11th, 2018 at 4pm UTC

This article gives you all of the information you need to purchase DVIP through the Aurora Token Sale. See the official details on our website or on Bitcointalk to learn more about the benefits of owning DVIP.

• Price: $3000 USD (paid in ETH) per 1 DVIP + 50,000 AURA

Essential Information

• Only send ether (ETH) from your personal Ethereum wallet such as Myetherwallet, Metamask, Parity, Mist, or Ledger Wallet.
• DO NOT send funds directly from an exchange such as Coinbase, Poloniex, or Bitfinex or you will not receive your DVIP.
• Set the Gas Limit to 150,000
• Recommended Gas Price: 50 gwei
• Beware of scams! We will NEVER publicly post the contribution address. The ONLY official address will be available on https://auroradao.com/tokensale . DO NOT trust ANY addresses posted in chat (Telegram, Slack, Discord, etc), on social media, in ads, on Reddit, etc.

How to Participate

Before you can contribute you must have a personal ethereum wallet with ETH. If you’re unsure on how to acquire ETH, please see this guide.

The sale will begin on Monday December 11th at 4pm UTC.

1. Get the Contribution Address

• Navigate to the token sale page and click the contribute button.
• The contribution address will be available to you after you agree to all terms of the sale.

2. Send Your Ether

From your wallet, send the desired amount of Ether to the sale contract address. Please see below for a guide on how to contribute from Myetherwallet¹ or Metamask².

Reminder: Be sure to use a wallet that you control locally such as Metamask or MEW. Do NOT send ether directly from an exchange address (e.g. Coinbase). You will lose your DVIP.

3. Receive your DVIP

You will receive DVIP in your wallet immediately after your transaction has confirmed. Congratulations, you have successfully contributed to the Aurora Token Sale!

4. (Optional) Add token details to your Myetherwallet wallet

To view your tokens in Myetherwallet, go to Myetherwallet.com → View Wallet Info and add the DVIP token details.

Important Safety Reminder

Be on the lookout for phishing URLs, fake domains, and emails from non-trusted parties. You are responsible for taking precautions and exercising good judgement. The contract address will ONLY be posted on our contribution page.

• You should only use the address displayed to you on the token sale page. We will NOT post the address on any other communication channels.
• We will NEVER personally message you with a wallet address asking you to directly send ETH.

Guide: How to contribute from Myetherwallet

The following is a walkthrough of how to send ETH to our smart contract using Myetherwallet.com.

1. Navigate to MyEtherWallet.com
2. Go to the Send Ether & Tokens section

3. Unlock access to your wallet; in this example the wallet is in the form of a Keystore

4. Create and send the transaction to the contract address. The recommended gas limit is 150,000, and the recommended gas price is 50 Gwei. Do not add anything to the “Data” field.

Note: This is just a sample transaction. DO NOT send ether to this address! The contract address will be available on the website after you agree to the terms of the sale.

Guide: How to Contribute from Metamask

MetaMask is an easy and secure browser add-on that enables you to send tokens. First, follow this How to Get started with MetaMask Guide. Once MetaMask is installed, follow these steps to contribute:

1. Click on the add-on icon in your browser and unlock Metamask.
2. Click “Send”.
3. Make sure you copy the contribution address you found on our token sale contribution page and paste it in the “Recipient Address” field.
4. Enter the amount of ETH you want to send. The “Transaction Data” field is not needed.
5. Click “Send” and you are done!

Next Steps

Sale End and AURA Airdrop

After the end of the sale, AURA will be airdropped to all DVIP token holders.

The token sale page has a countdown indicating the time remaining until the end of the sale as well as a progress bar showing how many DVIP are remaining. The sale will end whenever all DVIP are sold and the hardcap of $4.8M has been reached, or when the sale time ends, whichever comes first.

After the sale ends you will no longer be able to purchase DVIP from Aurora. DVIP will be available for transfer on January 12, 2018. The AURA airdrop will occur on January 11, prior to the DVIP transfer date. All wallets holding DVIP will receive AURA at the rate of 50,000 AURA per one full DVIP.

Summary

• The contract address will ONLY be posted on our token sale page.
• You must send Ether from a personal wallet (such as MyEtherWallet, Metamask, or Mist). If you have your ether on an exchange, such as Coinbase, you must send them to an Ethereum Wallet first before sending to Aurora.
