Exciting news today IDEX fam! Given our recent development progress, we’re planning to launch IDEX v4 the week of May 22nd.
IDEX v4 is the ultimate perpetual futures DEX, with unrivaled performance and ultra low fees. It represents the culmination of 12 months of development to adapt IDEX’s existing world-class hybrid DEX design to support perpetual futures. IDEX v4 will have a host of new features that don’t exist on perp DEXs today such as advanced order types, instant trade execution, and trading terminal integration.
Since our latest roadmap update, we’ve been focused on a few key areas:
- Smart contract audits: we performed 7 rounds of internal review, and are working with 3 independent external audit teams. While audits are not perfect, they are the best tool to catch issues before the product goes live
- USDC de-peg analysis: we’ve engaged in a comprehensive analysis of the impact of potential stablecoin de-pegs on our system to ensure that it will not negatively impact traders
- Polygon’s ZK EVM: where we deploy v4 is critical. Our main considerations are liquidity, ease of onboarding, and trade settlement costs. Polygon’s ZK EVM appears to check all of these boxes, but we’ll know more after we get our hands on the mainnet beta at the end of the month
IDEX Community
While we’ve been working hard during the bear market, we haven’t forgotten about our amazing community! We want to show our appreciation through a few efforts we’ve got planned leading up to our release. One of those is Crew3, a platform that rewards our most engaged community members. It’s also a way for us to pick some people for our v4 whitelist beta, who can help us out with product feedback and bug testing.
The Crew3 campaign will start on Thursday, March 23rd plus there will be some rewards for top performers, so get ready to show us what you’ve got!
Development Updates
On top of that, we’re bringing back regular development updates, because we realize that many of you want to know how we’re doing and how we’re progressing towards our v4 launch. We want to stay connected with our community and improve our protocol through your feedback and accountability in these updates. We’re also planning on being more content and community-focused leading up to v4’s launch, and our soon-to-be-released content hub will be a solid foundation for us to build on.
